Guilherme Porto, MD

Dr. Guilherme Porto is a neurosurgeon at Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Neurosurgery & Spine. He specializes in treating various spine and brain conditions with advanced surgical techniques including the most minimally invasive methods available.

His clinical interests include:

• Complex spine surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery
• Endoscopic spine surgery
• Spine oncology
• Neuroendovascular surgery 

He performs procedures such as:

• Spinal decompressions
• Spinal fusions
• Spinal deformity corrections
• Craniotomies for tumors/vascular lesions as well as ultra minimally invasive surgery (embolization) of aneurysms, fistulas, arteriovenous malformations and subdural hematomas

He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed a complex and minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University and a neuroendovascular surgery fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
